What is your favorite city to visit / live in, in Spain? Thanks!! Also, why?

I like Barcelona as it is a smaller city than Madrid and has lots to offer in regards to art, architecture, shopping and dining. It has the wonderful gothic quarter, Ramblas and Gaudi. I haven't been in a while, but I understand the port and the waterfront is quite impressive as well.
Now, I also love the Alpujarra regions and the small villages located there (Bubion, Pampaniera, Treveliz). They offer a glimpse of old Spain and afford beautiful views of the mountains and the countryside. They are a slower pace and offer lots of good outdoor activities. They're a little harder to get to - but well worth it! |
