Travel Info What activities would oyu suggest in Aruba? How's the Occidental Resort? Travel Tips You will be staying in a very popular location. In my opinion there isn't a bad place to be in Aruba. Be sure to rent a car or a scooter and spend the afternoon at Baby's beach...you can rent snorkeling equipment and even if you don't swim (I can't), the water is only waist deep and it's like being in a big aquarium. Have lunch at Coco Beach or Costa Riba in Seroe Colorado. A trip to the old Goldmines is fun and the Natural Bridge is a beautiful trip. It's always fun to see the wild burros and goats in the hills. Nightlife is plentiful in Oranjestadt and at the high rise hotel area. 4 wheelers can be rented and so can Harley's but I think the scooters are a lot of fun specially for the price. Have Fun! Source(s): used to live there Other Travel Tips there is a place called the natural pool...its a drive, but soooo worth it. i dont know where the occidental resort is...i stayed at the Divi...i hope you have a great time! A number 1 activitie is to go horse riding or helicopter sight seeing its pretty cheap. The ocean resorts are fantastic at the Hilton 1st class service. Aruba is all action and adventure! Beautiful little island, with a lot of things to offer. Aruba offers many fitness challenges and test of endurance, including the climb of 400 steps up the 551 - foot rugged path to the top of the Hooiberg, Aruba's second highest peak; twenty rugged miles of hiking trails in Arikok National Park, rock climbing at Ayo and Casibari, and exploration of caves along the north - east coast. Jeeps are available for rent and all - terrain vehicles and mountain bikes. Horseback riding along the windward coast with its rugged cliffs and pounding surf is unforgetable experience. The water is calm and perfect for swimming anywhere along the seven miles of Palm Beach, in front of the high rise resorts, and Eagle Beach, as well as further to Manchebo Beach and Druif Beach at the low - rise area. At the southern tip, you can wade far out in the shallow and still waters of Baby Beach and Rodgers Beach in Seroe Colorado but watch out for very rough surf all along the northeast coast. You can rent a jet - ski, sunfish, paddleboat, wave - runner, banana boat or tube right on the beach of your hotel. Parasailing will give you a bird's eye view of all the aquatic action. Snorkels, fins and masks are available at hotel water sports shops. You can combine some snorkeling with a cruise on one of Aruba's tourist - friendly pleasure boats and catamarans. Dive operators offer expert instructions. Resorts offer beginner courses in swimming pools. After learning how to deal with fins, masks, tank and regulator, many go on to a shallow dive. Reef, wreck and night diving can all be arranged. If you rather stay dry, Atlantis Submarines will take you to depths of 150 - feet in their craft with large windows to view sea world. De Palma island offers unique underwateradventure. You can descend underwater with Snuba to a depth of 20 feet while your tank remains at water level enabling you to bretahe easily underwater without carrying heavy restrictive scuba gear. Sea Trek is a walk on the water bottom to a depth of 25 feet with a specially designed helmet and air supply system. Kayaking, wind - surfing, aerobatic flights, wave sports ( such as body boarding and surfing )......there are also many activities for kids........and many, many other interesting activities!!! You want more? I was in Aruba last October and I had great tima, real adventure and unforgetable experience! Whichever activities you try, you'll be happy with your choice! Go on and try it all, you won't be sorry!!!! take the booze cruise from the pier next to the radisson, 8pm, but don't go alone |
