I had problems with the security at La Cabana when I reported a missing bathing suit. A man showed up at my door in full military regalia. Then he accused me of making a false claim. When I got home and developed my photos, I realized I actually had a photo of myself in one of their lounge chairs. I feel so bad for her family. The authorities there are miserable to deal with and protect their own first and foremost. I, for one, will never go back to Aruba until this case is solved and they fully illustrate to prospective tourists how they have improved security island-wide. After that this piece of dirt played the police like a pro, with help from his father and godfather. He won, but Aruba lost and the Halloways too and that's the story. |
