When traveling to Aruba with a photo ID and birth certificate do I need to carry marriage liscence ? |
Travel Info My name is different on both my birth certificate & ID (liscence) Travel Tips YES...we just had a client returning from Punta Cana and coming back the US customs/imagration officers held them up for 45 minutes and debated on detaining them for the night because they did not have one. If you have been divorced you will need those as well. By December everyone will need a passport and we highly recomend that all our clients get one asap. Others i don't think so, but why not get a copy just in case? Do yourself a favor if at all possible and get a passport before you leave. It just makes your life so much easier... If you cannot do so, make sure that your birth certificate is an original-official state issued, certified, birth certificate. It must be original or government certified. No hospital certificates and NO photocopies. Taking along the marriage certificate should be fine. Having different last names, my husband and I always carried along a photocopy (original issued in the Bahamas and too difficult to replace) of ours whenever we traveled. Never had a problem. http://www.aruba.com http://www.arubabound.com/entry.htm... 12+ visits to the island |
