I need help finding a frugal yet nice wedding package on a cruise...? |
Travel Info We have to pay for my side of the family, which couldn't afford to go if we didn't pay. And we are tight for money too...but we've been putting it off because of money, and don't know what to do....We've mde the date for Aug 21 2006. We have gotten nowhere scince I started looking for packages. I'm sooo frustrated I told him we'd do a courthouse, of course he said no way and i wasn't serious, I'm just disheartened...I would love a cruise for everyone...where is an economical choice? open to ANY ideas..thank you, the bride to be Travel Tips Booking a number of cabins together there will result in a free cabin. To keep expenses down I would: 1. If you do a cruise, it is all inclusive: all the food is included, some beverages included, but guests can pay for their own alcohol and soda. 2. To do something cheaper, maybe a nice resort in Florida, off season. Yes, it will be hot, but get married on the beach at sunset, it will begin cooling off and there willbe a breeze. 3.Have your guests "car pool". If you decide on a cruise, leave out of Florida or whatever port is closest to your guests and let everyone drive there to cut down the expense of airfare. This would save a significant amount of money. You could even rent 12 passenger vans and have a caravan... "Florida for Our Wedding Or Bust"! 4. As beautiful as a wedding in any of the ABC islands would be, the airfare to get there is what drives up the expense. You could always get married on one of these islands while taking a cruise. The drawback here is that the cruises that reach that far south in the Caribbean will be leaving from San Juan, which again drives up the expense of airfare or will be 10 night cruises, which will drive up the total cost of the cruise.
