Travel Info I hear the Aruba has a nude beach; is it ok for me (a guy) to sunbath as well? Travel Tips I am curious where this 'supposed' nude beach is. "The "clothing optional" beaches: Public nudity of any kind is illegal and insulting to the Aruban people. However, there are many very secluded small beaches along the northeast coast, some requiring a 4 wheel drive vehicle to reach, where you may be alone and do as you wish, subject to interruption at any time by 4-WD or horseback tours. There are no facilities of any kind nearby and the surf is extremly rough and dangerous for swimming. Topless sunbathing and swimming is not against the law, and tolerated on most beaches in the resort areas, but not on resort grounds!!!" Note the fact that nudity is illegal, toplessness is not. Toplessness is tolerated at the resorts, but that is for the most part. I have been at 2 separate resorts where security has asked women on the beach to put their tops back on. Your best best for nudity is to rent a 4 X 4 and head to Dos Playa or Boca Prins, but don't plan on swimming and do plan on tourists traveling through from time to time. Nudists can be male or female. You will find, I think, that most nudist societies discourage single males unless they are being introduced by an existing member or are joining with a partner. If you dont mind the girls pointing and giggling at you. I think it is fine. The problem is that so many guys hang around nude beaches to perv that it creates an assumption that all guys have wrong motives. If you genuinely want to enjoy to the nude beach then go and enjoy it. I've only been once, and went topless quite happily (I rarely wear a bikini top anyway) but chose to keep my bottom on. Guys don't have the same luxury why do u have to go to a nude beach? go to Eagle beach and have fun thats the best beach in aruba.. i also love baby beach have fun becuase if you dont, youll regret it like i did.. (exept i had fun and i want to go back) |
