Fun/Nice mini vacation spot?

Travel Info
I live in Atlanta, GA and I would like to go on a mini vacation for just the weekend. Can anyone suggest a good place to go that's not too far to drive and not too too expensive?

Travel Tips
Oh there are lots of places. Do you like the outdoors? If so, there is tons of camping in north Georgia. With camping, it is cheap. If you do not have equipment, borrow it from a friend. If you do not have access to it, you can rent equipment from REI for still pretty cheap. A lot of camp grounds have shelters as well. You can have fun, save money, and really relax in nature. May want to wait about a month, it still gets cold at night.

If camping is not your thing, there are a lot of great lodges and cabins up north as well. This time of year things are not too expensive. Try the Blue Ridge area, it is beautiful.

Savannah is a great city as well. Avoid going over St. Patrick's day, it is a mess then. But going during a normal weekend is OK. Not a real expensive city. You can go to the beach on Tybee Island, walk the historic district, and there are beautiful parks to go through. You can certainly do it for not too much. And it is only about 4-5 hours drive, so weekend possible (especially a long weekend). Those are my best bets for just a weekend shot out with little planning and minimal costs. Have fun.

Others
Myrtle Beach
I have a list of three places I would recommend in the Atlanta Area to go for a weekend;

1. Stone Mountain Park

2. Warm Springs

3. Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain

My recommendation of the three is Warm Springs. If you choose to visit Warm Springs, it is about 2 hours south of Atlanta in Meriwether County and a is the home of Little White House where President of the United States of America Franklin Roosevelt stayed during the summertime when he was not in Washington, DC and Warm Springs has many specialty stores, restaurants, and accommodations.
