Possible relocation to kennesaw, GA...by any chance as anyone ever been there and what was your impression? |
Travel Info Although it will only be for 1 yr...just very curious. I have tried google, but mostly only find about The Civil War. Travel Tips Kennesaw is ok. its about 45 minutes away from Atlanta off 75 and 575. home of kennesaw state university, which is your typical state school. The town has grown quite a bit, famous for being very conservative. Be very carefull on barrett lakes drive. the cops are crazy and love giving stupid tickets for everything and anything. Dont even think about drinking and driving, as they have some of the rudest, unfriendliest cops in the country from my experience. Compared to the rest of the country, housing is not cheap but not very expensive. Most people Ive met from there are very middle class and boring. Depending, on where you may be moving from may be a culture shock. If you are moving from any major city like ny, chicago, detroit or miami, I would tell you to move closer to the city of Atlanta and avoid the lack of culture that is kennesaw Others I used to live nearby in Marrietta, but that was back in 1972. I'm sure it has changed since then. Regardless, I'm sure it will be nice to live near Atlanta. Marrietta is also a nice area...at least that is what I've heard. That's Cobb County by the way. Maybe some of this will help. AKA guntown, USA! Famous for having an ordinance requiring every household to have a gun. Crime there is quite low. Very nice area, i live about 1hr away.
