Commute time from Terrell Mill area to mid-town Atlanta.? |
Travel Info Hi, I'm thinking about moving to the area around Terrell Mill Rd. off of I-75, just outside of I-285 in Atlanta. I really am curious about what kind of commute I'll be facing. I anticipate taking the Windy Hill bypass to I-75 just inside the perimeter. I exit the freeway just before the merger at 14th Street. I appreciate any responses! I plan to leave for work around 7:45 each morning, and leave work around 6:15 each evening, except for Fridays, when I'll leave work around 5 p.m. Also, if you happen to know, how heavy is the traffic on the side roads around Terrell Mill? Travel Tips at 7:45 in the morning, I would say give yourself about 30-35 minutes. On days with Heavy Traffic the most it should take is about 40 minutes. Normally without Traffic, its about 20 miles, so about 20-25 minutes or so. Once you start making a little more money, you should consider moving to the west paces exit off vinings and save yourself about 10 miles of Traffic, gas money, and the headaches of Traffic. Personally, I always say pay more to enjoy your life. Nobody really lives on Terrell Mill because its paradise, they live there because its affordable. Others Leaving at 5 on Friday will be at the height of rush hour which begins around 3 on Fridays and doesn't end until after 7. It may take you 45 minutes to an hour. I agree with the other answer: get yourself a place closer to downtown. It is a great place to live and you will enjoy NOT spending so much time in your car. 21 year resident of Atlanta |
