Other Travel Tips the vet will give you all the info you need. Plus, go to the Dept. of Agriculture and they will provide all the paperowork as well. Good luck. I flew mine 20 hours from Pa to Sao Paulo thru Chicago and they did treat her very nicely. I flew my Jack Russel last spring from Jacksonville into St. Louis. Did so on American Airlines. They were great and she was treated like a princess. I was not traveling until a later date, so all I had to do was decide what flight to put her on and show up an hour before to the ticket counter. She had to be in an airline approved crate and all shot and vaccination records had to be with her as well. They told me no water or food 12 hours before the flight. My parents met her at the airport and picked her up for me. I think the fare was a little under $200. A flight from ATL to Chicago should take about 2.5 hours. Hope this helps!
