I need some opinions on night club in Atlanta? |
Travel Info Me and two of my friends are going this weekend, 27th-29th. We are thinking about Club 112 and Compound maybe. Any advice on some fun hip hop clubs around? I've tried searching online, but some of that information is so outdated that I know the clubs are gone or have moved. Also what kinda stuff can you were? I know most of it is no jeans unless they are designer. Are tight denim gauchos appropriate for Atlanta clubs? Travel Tips Both are excellent and popular establishments. Club 112 tends to cater to a crowd more interested in the hip-hop music scene and has more stringent fashion requirements (such as no blue denim), from my experience. Compound is very stylish (similar to a Miami hot spot), but you are likely to see women in designer jeans with expensive tops. Compound is also less oriented towards the hip-hop scene. An alternative to Compound would be Halo on 6th Street in Midtown. Nearby Apache Cafe (by North Ave) is very popular for hip-hop fans. To answer more directly, I would not wear jeans to Club 112, but would wear them to Compound. Both clubs still exist, but see the above paragraph for alternative locations to visit as the clubs you mention have long lines on the weekends. A third alternative, which is really a mix of both club genres, is The Royal downtown. Other Travel Tips Dont forget to try to get in the Famos Gold Tooth Club. Thats IF you can get on the list. Out of compound and 112 I would pick compound. I always have a good time when I go there, but the lines are long so you will want to get there early. Most of the time (as a woman) you are allowed to wear jeans as long as you dress them up. Club crucial (i've never been but its in bankhead which is not the best area of town). |
