Albany I'm moving there, I need real help please ? |
Travel Info Hi , I'm moving To Albany soon.. i used to live outside USA.. I want to know .. chances for business or finding a job ? Is it safe ? Traffic ? What is good and what is bad about living there ?? I searched Web much .. my Wife moved there already .. but i prefer a place which i can start small bussiness or easily find a job .. Thank you .. and any information will be appreciated .. Travel Tips Actually I can't answer about finding a job accurately because when I was there it was for school. But to find a mediocre job like working in the mall was kind of hard but there was a lot of work on campus (depending on who you knew). Albany have certain areas that are safe. By what I remember anything on the southside was more dangerous (so they said although I never heard of anything happening). Traffic is okay. It's nothing like Atlanta or other heavy populated cities. It's more like an up and coming small city. The good of what I remember was that the city officials really listened to the people. but the bad was that there was still some racism in some people of different races. I'm not sure what is the likelyhood of you starting a small business. But perhaps it will work because there isn't much variety of businesses in town. hope this helps. It's a 4 hour drive to panama city beach,fl which I loved.Haven't been there in awhile so can't help you much albany Hs class of '72 This isn't really an answer to your question but it still may help you some. try citysearch.com They have resturants, shopping, hotels, night club, attractions and local events. Reader reviews, prices, parking help, good for kids or not, all kinds of stuff! It gets hot there in the summer. You should be able to find a job or start a business easily. It is more of a small town. There is not heavy traffic. I am from Atlanta and have been to Albany a few times. It is a typical southern town, not very big or busy...Sorry, I don't know anything about where to live. All the best to you. |
