Where is the best location to stay in Atlanta, GA?? |
Travel Info Hotels, nightlife, attractions??? Travel Tips Decatur- Not too crowded, but close enough to everything you love about Atlanta. Plus, it has some pretty awesome shopping and restaurants itself. If you are looking for somethin a little bit more in the thick of things and have the money, I would suggest Buckhead. You will be near the malls (Lenox and Phipps, some of the best I've ever been too), and the nightlife is great! I believe there is an Embassy Suites, as well as Ritz Carlton, as well as many other hotels in that area (the two I just mention being on the main street, Peachtree). Good Luck! Others buckhead Kennesaw, it's quiet, has beautiful historic mountains and just about 25 miles north of Atlanta. Decatur also gets my vote. I lived there for 5 years. It doesn't have quite the "excitement" of Buckhead, but there are a lot of great bars and restaurants. It feels like a small town (17,000 residents) but it's well inside the Perimeter. There is a MARTA station, so getting to downtown Atlanta is a quick thing. I would stay at the Holiday Inn Select (in the middle of town) or the Holiday Inn Express that's on North Decatur Rd. (less expensive). Recently a friend came to town for the NCAA Final Four and loved the Holiday Inn Express. But he had a rental car, which made it easy for him to drive to downtown Decatur to catch the train. Buckhead |
