Travel Info Where is a good place to stay when going to six flags ga that is convienient to the park and not too pricey? Travel Tips Douglasville will definately be your best bet. It is further west, but it is in a nicer area. The area around Six Flags is not a great area. Also there are some hotels that are on Thornton Road (Austell, GA) that are nice. And they are closer to Six Flags. There are also lots of places to eat around both of these areas. The hotels around Six Flags are not nice at all and verge on being scary! Source(s): I live in ATL! Other Travel Tips Try the Hampton in Douglasville- it is about 10 miles away from the park, near a mall and lots of food places, is really comforable and usually 75-85 a night. Check the Six Flags website. The usually have partner hotels that cut a deal with Six Flags. Stay away from any hotels on Six Flags Drive, or anywhere really really close to Six Flags..... Maybe look for hotels in Vinings, Marietta or Sandy Springs, try the area code 30339, that area has several hotels (Windy Hill & Powers Ferry Road area) Its about a 15 minute drive to Six Flags....
