Travel Tips

There are a lot of hotels near MARTA stations, assuming that you want to stay somewhere away from the stadium. But there are also several hotels right around the stadium. One nice place is the Holiday Inn Select on Central Avenue. My in-laws stayed there recently and had a decent time. You can walk to the stadium from there, and you can also walk to the state Capitol / Underground Atlanta / Georgia State & Five Points MARTA stations.

I also like the Holiday Inn Select in downtown Decatur, just 2-3 minutes walk from the Decatur MARTA station.

In Buckhead (lots of skyscrapers, restaurants, and shopping malls) there is a cluster of hotels from expensive to medium-expensive (Hampton Inn, Intercontinental, Grand Hyatt, etc.). They are all within walking distance of Buckhead Station.
Others

don't use Marta to go to Turner Field.
