What are some affordable yet nice appts. to raise a family in, near Atlanta GA? |
Travel Info Hi, I have a wife and a 2 year old daughter, and we are finally taking the plunge and moving to ATL this summer. My wife and I have visisted ATL twice before. Once for a concert in Gwinnet Co. and another time for a braves game which that time we found out about all the traffic! lol. I will be attending college in Atlanta (zip 30328) and was wondering about some nice apartments near by that wouldnt be too far out. I was thinking about the Gwinnett area because it was nice, but does anyone know of any other secrets that the area may have to offer. Travel Tips 30328 is Sandy Springs. I work in that zip. I know exactly where you will be going to school. Do not move to Gwinnett. It is a great area and very affordable, but if you think traffic is bad downtown you have no idea what you will be in for in Gwinnett. Especially getting to the Dunwoody and Sandy Springs area. It can easily be 1-2 hours each way. I would highly recommend you live in Dunwoody or Sandy Springs. It is a great area. Very well kept, nice shopping, easy access to all of Atlanta, good schools and all around very enjoyable. Depending on your budget it can be pricey. I live in an older apartment complex. They are completely renovating them right now. They are very affordable. Two bed two bath is around 700 which is really reasonable for this area. If you want any more specific information about this area please feel free to email me. Others http://www.atlantapartments4rent.com... http://www.apartments.com/georgia/atlant... what part are you looking at? just type in your question in the search bar. hope that helps. gwinnett is nice- there are parts that are not so nice but over all it is a nice county. Traffic in gwinnett is bad and commuting can be frustrating but it has its perks. Depending on where in gwinnett you move there will be everything you need within 5 to 10 miles. No secrets that I know of. lifelong gwinnett resident I live in Sandy Springs and it seems like a pretty cool place to raise kids. Alpharetta, Roswell, East Cobb, and some parts of Gwinett like Buford, Lawrenceville, Duluth. But you will PAY to live in these places vs. South Atlanta, Clayton Co, Parts of Dekalb. Been all over-south to north atl living in N fulton now |
