What are fun things to do in Atlanta, GA that are not too expensive, touristy or mainstream? |
Travel Info I am an "alternative" personality, looking for places to hang-out, meet new people and whatnot. I've been to L5P many times, but am looking to expand to other, lesser known jewels of the city. Btw, I am in my mid-20s. Travel Tips Have you been to any parties at Secretroom? If not, you will probably enjoy them. Of course there is a cover charge but free parking and the people there are wonderful. I would link to it but I think it may violate the TOS. Also, try Drunken Unicorn if you like punk. Sometimes they have jazz too. Depends on what you mean by alternative,, now that I think of it because I am now branching out mentally. My Sister's Room can be fun but also boring. Depends on what night you are there. The area around Emory sometimes has some interesting people hanging out. And if you are into it . . . whipper snappers meets regularly in the area. AGain, google by location and you should find the where and when. Charis and Outwrite both have book groups, writing clubs, authors. Or you could join classes and Phoenix and Dragon . . . Back to not knowing what you mean by alternative.
