Back roads/optional routes thru Atlanta?? |
Travel Info I have to be at the Atlanta airport at 10 am Friday morning and in downtown right @ 85/75 for a business meeting prior to that! I'm leaving from Athens, does anybody know optional routes? 85 SUCKS! or what time should I leave Athens to avoid most of the traffic? I'm willing to leave early and take something to do once I get there! Travel Tips unfortunately, you are gonna have to leave athens on 316 no later than 5 00 to be at the airport before the traffic gets too awfully bad. there are really no good ways to go, other than 316 to 85s. you need to be past spaghetti jct. before 6 a.m. to be thru most of the traffic. otherwise you wont make it in time. sorry, but you wanted the truth. But other than that I love it. I would take 129 to 85S instead of 316 for the commute to Atlanta. Why not leave your car at a secure parking lot, or MARTA station and ride MARTA to the airport. The airport access is the ONLY thing MARTA is good for, so take advantage of it. If you have to be at a business meeting on the conecter prior to the flight, you really only have 2 options. Either take MARTA or sit in traffic. |
