Travel Info I am move this summer HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Travel Tips I live in Marietta, and no it is not easy to get to downtown Atlanta on public transportation, in fact I dont even think its possible. Marietta uses the Cobb Community Transportation (CCT) and it only runs in Cobb County, Marietta. The Marta, runs in Atlanta. Marietta is about 25 minutes from Atlanta, depending on what area you stay in and how close you live to the nearest interstate. And that time does not include rush hour and peak traffic times. Good www.bestplaces.net I just moved from the atlanta area. I lived in Marietta back in the early 80's. It was nice then. The traffic is so bad now I dont wish it on any one. A 15 minute commute sometimes would take 2 hours. Marietta is located in Cobb County and there is a bus transit system that provides connections to the Marta rail/bus system in Atlanta. Check the website below for detailed directions on what bus or train you need to take to get to any destination in Atlanta area. Housing costs are more reasonable in Cobb than in Atlanta, but you should weigh your options of housing costs versus commuting time/cost. You had to have a car to get anywhere. There is the MARTA once you get downtown and that is nice but you have to drive there. Marietta is awesome there is so much to do and if you like the outdoors kennesaw mountian is right there. I miss it and wish I could move back but you know how that goes. good luck. |
