Who here thinks Atlanta is a great Place to live? I'm moving there end of the summer and I am nervous.? |
Travel Info Im nervous becasue I heard it has a lot of downsides to it: Crime, discrimination, iffy job market, hard to make good friends, boring night life. I was there once and I loved it, but then again It's not enough to know it for real. Am I being paranoid and are my worried valid? Travel Tips Atlanta is a good place to live. I live in Bartow co. which is extreme n. metro Atlanta. there is everything you could ask for here in Atl. you have a great job market, and better than average home prices. We have all the sports franchises in major sports. The people are great in my area. there are problems here as in every big city. My wife has a 48 mile ride to work, and it takes 11/2 hours to get there. the crime in certain areas is bad, but where isn't it?! You just have to decide the area that you want to live. This is a great place to live. Don't be timid. Good luck, and good hunting! Others LOL...Atlanta...LOL, good luck, I mean it could be worse, it's not New Orleans. As a general rule I think it best if one stays above the Mason/Dixion Line. I love Atlanta. The nightlife is actually awesome, and shopping is great. The high crime comes with any city, just stay away from parts of Clayton and Henry county, mainly South/Southwest atlanta and you will be fine. I actually stay in North Fulton County and its pretty quiet here. |
