Is Atlanta, GA really as hot, humid and miserable in the summertime as they say? |
Travel Info I check the weather here in NJ and then I check the current conditions in Atlanta and it seems to be the same, and many times Atlanta is cooler with lower humidity then here in NY/NJ. Is Atlanta really miserably hot and humid in the summertime or is that a misconception? If its true, then how long does it stay really bad in the summer? Travel Tips Haha...it is totally dependent on what you're used to...to someone from NJ, it wouldn't be bad at all....but someone from Idaho or New Mexico would simply melt and die...they are accustomed to 7-10% humidity...so dry that the average east coast resident that moves there has terrible problems with their lips and knuckles chapping and the skin splitting open, especially in the winter. Source(s): Been there, done that.... Other Travel Tips Summer here in Georgia is crazy hot, humid and often miserable. I grew up in Rhode Island, and it too was hot, and humid sometimes, but the air here in Georgia is so humid that you are practically drinking it. YES!!!!!!! my mom lives two hours away in South Carolina, and everytime i have gone to visit ,she picks me up at the Atlanta airport. We stay there to go shopping and things like that, its So hot and miserable.. Just like South Carolina.. thats my opinion, some people may like that but i can麓t stand that... Take care. Bcn_mimosa YES, IT IS HORRIBLE. It stays this way probably until I would say September..October..just depends. South Carolina is like that as well just like the person above me says. yes it is Yes my friend it is.We generally have 60-80 percent humidity most of the time. It takes no time when you walk outside to start sweating badly. By the way, what part of Jersey? My 21 yr. old daughter is in Englewood, and my wife just got home from the airport at Newark yesterday.she went to visit her. go back to my last best answer you gave me, and i will leave my e-mail for you. |
