Travel Info Is covington ga a good place to raise a family we are looking for diversity in the neighborhood moving from ca Travel Tips covington is really not that close to atlanta but it is a nice area. It is still somewhat country and has a lot to offer. I is close enough to atlanta for a commute but you will have to be patient with traffic Others Covington is a great place east of Atlanta. Although traffic anywhere in this city can be a pain in the neck, the east and south suburbs of atlanta have a lot to offer with a little bit less traffic and great schools. The other location I would recommend for diversity, great schools, and every imaginable store, restaruant, etc would be Kennesaw in Cobb County, on I-75 north. Although traffic here can be fierce, it is a great location to raise a family with diversity in mind! Good luck and welcome to the Atlanta Area! Covington is pretty far out in the sticks as far as Metro Atlanta goes. This could be good if you are looking for a suburb with a small town feel. However, Covington borders Conyers, and you may want to read up on the problems with teens in that area. http://www.freeteensusa.org/frontline.ht... All my family live in covington and I have some really close friends that live there to. Covington is really country and beautiful. The people are really nice and the schools seam to be great. I have a friend from Cali and he seems to get along well out here.I hope you enjoy Ga you will have to get use to us southern talkers. Take Care and good luck. FORGET IT. You would hate it here in PEACH State. People are so rude, still talks about Civil War and do not want any one else from out side of their comfort zone. Men oh men...moving from CA ? What a shame. Sorry, but being honest. It's a great place to live and raise a family. Lots of diversity and about 45 min from Atlanta. |
