I live in Ga. and my anniversary is coming up in Aug. where can I go that is affordable,romantic, and fun? |
Travel Info Romantic,fun, affordable Travel Tips Rent you a north georgia cabin, they are very inexpensive and you will have the privacy you need to have a great anniversary. just type in North Georgia Cabin rentals in your search engine to find the one right for you Others ditto the other answerer. The mountains would be nice. If you love the beach you can look into tybee island. Savannah is a nice trip. Charlotte is not far, neither is Knoxville. Maybe get a hotel in the city for a night and have a night out on the town. Go to a show at the fox, go to Agatha's mystery dinner, or spend the night in the room and order room service. Savannah is great but very hot & humid in August. There are many affordable, romantic places to stay in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. http://www.mypigeonforge.com/ There are some nice bed & breakfasts in nearby areas. You can rent cabins in North Georgia mountains, also there is Chateau Elan (not cheap though), they have a winery, restaurant & spa on property, I think you can make reservations to do that stuff without actually staying there, I'm sure there are some nice bed & breakfasts or hotels in that area. Since it is in north georgia, headed up I-85. Also a nice choice (although not in Georgia) would be visiting Asheville, NC, it is an absolutely beautiful town, with lots of little shops & stuff to do, it is pretty affordable and you could also visit the Biltmore Estate, there is a winery, botanical garden, spa, restaurant and stuff there. Also in the area you can hike, bike and do outdoor activities.
