Other Travel Tips
there is a lot to do in atlanta...it depends on what types of things spark your interest...you can see shows at the fox theater...(i saw chicago and it was GREAT!!!) you can go to stone mountain park, the nightlife is outrageous, sports...you've got the braves, falcons and thrashers...there's also a movie theater in buckhead where you can watch a movie and enjoy a meal...being a chef, i can tell you that there are plenty of restaurants...like villa christina and rainwater(i worked at both) and alon's bakery which is not the standard bakery...they serve full lunches!!!...zambuca in buckehead also features live entertainment while you dine...so your options are numerous, but please don't limit yourself to atlanta...enjoy all of metro atlanta...don't forget the underground and centennial olympic park...have fun!!!
I recommend you go to the Georgia Aquarium. They have also just opened the World of Coke right next to it and I think they have discounted tickets if you go to both. I would go to www.georgiaaquarium.org to check out prices and to get directions from the hotel you are staying at. The person that answered before me has some outdated information about the World of Coke. It is no longer at Underground. Which I do suggest you go to Underground. (Right next to the Capitol building.) You need to take in a Braves game also. You can get nose bleed tickets for a buck when you get to the stadium. Oh and you need to eat at Bobby & Junes Country Kitchen. Best southern food ever, it's located on 14th street. I also suggest the Varsity in downtown. Ty Pennington and the rest of the (at the time) Tradding Spaces crew ate there. It's a major Georgia landmark. Have fun!!!
Check out the Aquarium, go to the CNN Center, and if you like the nightlife go to Buckhead, they have the best restaurants and bars.
if you want bars and partying go to buckhead, six flags underground the aquarium, coca cola, midtown and if you are intersted i know a great church not even kidding
