You are half-way between Atlanta and Augusta, GA. You should be able to use Thomaston as a jumping off point to get to one of those two cities. You can also shoot over to Athens, GA where there are a lot of music clubs and the University of GA. Generally, there is nothing to do in Thomaston other than ride around in a WalMart parking lot on a Saturday night.
