A house in one neighborhood might cost 2-3 million $, while the same house just 10-15 miles away would only be 300,00$. You can go to a restaurant and buy a steak for 100$, then go to a place next door and buy the exact same steak for 20$. Overall, its basically cheaper than Manhattan- since there is plenty of land (for now, that could change). Its a lot more expensive ,however, than most people expect. Others If you have to ask you can,t afford it. In comparison to Los Angeles, everything costs the same except housing. Rent is cheaper in terms of what it can get you. Everything else like gas, food and utilities are not that far off. Gas may be a few cents cheaper, but in the grand scheme of things it doesn't make a lot of difference. It makes it very difficult to get ahead unless you are a professional in high demand. It's rather difficult to survive in the service industries since they pay a lot less for the same work performed elsewhere, and expenses remain the same. |
