Looking for a place to stay in Fl around 5 to 7 hrs. from Atlanta GA? |
Travel Info I am trying to find a beach city in Fl around 5 to 7 hrs. from ATL. I would like a city that is not to crouded but not to bizzy. A place with a bord walk, shopping, and resturants would be great. Destin and Panima City is to crouded... but I do not want a place that is to deserted. Multipls citys would be great... thanks! Travel Tips I currently live in the Tampa Bay area. If you are looking for somewhere that's not "too" crowded and has all the amenities of Destin/Panama, then the west coast is best for you. All locations are very close to the water. St. Pete is a little more laid back. Not much of a night life from what I hear. Clearwater is inbetween St.Pete & Tampa. It's a little busier but still not so crowded. The boardwalks and restaurants on the beach are the BEST, ESPECIALLY if you like seafood. Indian Rocks Beach is a HUGE tourist attraction but it's still not too fast, nor is it too slow. Those are just a couple of places that offer the things you want and are still within 5-7 hours away from Hotlanta! :-) Enjoy your searching! Others U can move to Tampa, its about 8 hours. You should really ask a travel agent. Or look, you got lucky with the guy above. tampa sounds nice !@ With its balmy breezes, sun-kissed beaches, professional sports and superb shopping, the Tampa Bay area is a tropical paradise for professionals of all ages. No matter what your interests, you鈥檒l find what you鈥檙e looking for there. Flaggler maybe? Thats the only one i know of in Florida myself. Yeah Tampa would be okay, although that might be a little further away than the range you gave. Another nice west coast spot could be Pensacola. Personally, id stay away from the west coast only because theres a huge bull shark population over there...but im paranoid :P what about st. simons island, georgia it isn't in florda but it is about an hour away |
