Is there a pub in Auckland that i can watch American sports on tv? |
Travel Info Mostly baseball and college football.....in Atlanta we have a bar called Fado, where you can watch international soccer as early as 8am...anything like this in Auckland? Do any bars get American TV/Sports? Travel Tips Yes all pubs have Sky TV, but it's managed by Sky Australia and we don't get all the games. What you need is a pub that has a proper large satellite dish. That will give you much more coverage of US sports. There's a pub here in Christchurch that does that and when I know Steelers are playing, I call to see if their going to show it. My personal gripe with Sky baseball is that the games shown are more often than not Red Sox/White Sox games. I've had Sky for 8 years now and have never seen a game of the team I support. Others Nearly all bars have what is called "Sky Tv" which is like cable in america. There is lots of different sports channels on sky from around the world. Don't be trying to change the sky channel in a pub if the All Blacks are playing or any rugby game as you are likely to get thrown out. GO THE ALL BLACKS! They dont have electricity yet..... |
