Travel Info How's the weather in Auckland, New Zealand? Is it a cold country? Travel Tips Its coming into Summer in 4 or so weeks. Its not bad, its not too hot and not too cold, even in summer, and winter is alright. It depends on whether you are coming from, say, Canada, Scandinavia or England as opposed to Australia, South Africa, Southern Italy or Southern California whether you will find it cool or not. Its cold in NZ in parts, especially further south, but not from now till May or so. Check out Yahoo.com weather, it will give you average temperatures for Auckland all year round. Nice in late spring/ summer/ autumn!!!! Others 12 - 15 not bad mid weather, its temperate, but now the temp should be about 20 degrees celcius Define cold. That's the website of the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research. We get four or five frosts per winter, and it NEVER snows in Auks. On the other hand, it's seldom above 25C in summer. It doesn't get windy like Wellington. We get about 1000 - 1250 mm rain annually (39 - 49 inches, roughly).
