Auckland- what are the must see's? |
Travel Info I will be spending 3 days in Auckland, so little time...I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on what to see and do. I am not really into looking at buildings, or tourist specific things. Maybe nature walks, shopping, events or scenic places. I will be there end of April. Travel Tips Ask at information centre at Airport about:: The Lava Tubes (tunnels) off Mount Albert, The fortifications at North Head, Mount Victoria and Albert Park, (even Aucklanders don't know about these) Kelly Tarltons Aquarium (it's under the sea). Museum of Transport and Technology, Kauri and Cascades Park, Whatipu, Waitakere Scenic Drive on the western skyline, Wenderholm, Puhoi, Rangitoto Island (an active volcano, last erupted only 700 years ago, A walk over the Harbour Bridge or a Bungy Jump from either the Bridge or the Skytower.
