Are there tornadoes in Austin?

I know that the gulf gets hurricanes, but are there tornadoes in Austin?

The Austin area gets its share of tornadoes but the city of Austin has never really been a target. Travis County where Austin is located has had 61 tornadoes in the last 50 years and only 2 deaths attributed in that same time. Now, just north of Travis county in Williamson Co., a tornado(F5 strength) killed 27 people. Most storms that fit the Austin area seem to move to the north of town. I live in South Austin and watch the storms hit the hill country on the West side and more north. I don't worry about tornadoes much here in Austin. Hail is common, though.
