Scenic route for Dallas to Austin Motorcycle trip?

We are riding motorcycles from Dallas to Austin and back this weekend & want to take a scenic & MC friendly route. Want to ride a max of 275-300 mi each way. Want to avoid I-35 as much as possible.

Take US 183 up to Lampasas.

Then US 281 up to Stephenville.

Take US 377 to Granbury.

Just stay on US 377 and it takes you straight into Fort Worth.
