Travel Info I'm going on a trip to Austin next week, what should I go see or do? Travel Tips Sixth Street, also 5th. clubs, music, dancing and fun. The bats down by the river, they leave at dusk. Try TGIF's outdoor seating for a good view Source(s): Personal experience Other Travel Tips University of Texas go watch the bats fly out at night...there's some bridge they all live under, and at some point every night they all bolt out into the sky...its supposed to be incredible. Highland Lakes area, go to the Oasis for drinks, can't beat the view at sunset (go eat somewhere else though) Live music just about everywhere you look. 6th street of course for nightlife. Heavy Traffic starts about 4:30 pm and runs till about 7, am traffic quits about 9ish, Mopac and I-35 will take you to most anywhere you need to get to |
