How come Texas is coolest even though its hottest?

Travel Tips
Texass is not cool at all. It is a conservative red neck state with piss pore climate. Hurricanes, tornadoes, massive drought and flooding in the same area. Leave it for the mexicans.

CALIFORNIA is WAY cooler than TEXAS, TEXAS is WAY hotter than CALIFORNIA.
I know this isn't really answering your question as much as it is just me rambling pointlessly, but it kind of applies to me at this point in my life. We might move to San Antonio from Nevada and I'm really excited because of all the theme parks, the zoo, the Alamo, the riverwalk, etc.! There seems to be so much more there for families than there is here. I can't handle too much heat and humidity very well, but I'll learn to deal with it in the summer. I'll just stay indoors in air conditioning, or sit in the pool all day. And my kids might grow up with cute Texan accents. ;)
Texas is such a big state and offers a variety of things to do, to see, a melting pot of different people from everywhere, it's just a great place to live (I lived there for 14 years) and to visit. The people are southern and hospitable! It's a cool place to live, but if you want it hot - that can happen too!
Texas has the friendliest people of any state in the US. We also have the most diverse landscape.......in east Texas we have piney woods, forests and lakes.....in west Texas we have plains, mesas and gently rolling hills. Along the coast we have beautiful beaches, and in the panhandle we have............well.......not much. In the Heart of Texas we have everything in between. And the sunsets here are the most beautiful anywhere because of the west Texas sandstorms.

Contrary to popular belief, Texas is not in the South....Texas is where the West begins.

Texas is special. Did you know that the capitol buildings of all the other 49 states are required to be shorter than the US Capitol building, but the Texas Capitol Building isn't? It's in our state constitution. Also, all the other state flags are required to fly below the height of the US flag but the Texas flag has the right to fly at the same height. That's in our state constitution as well. We also built in a clause that allows us to withdraw from the US if we want to.
Texas is the only state that was previously a sovereign nation.
Texas has a provision for secession from the U.S. if it chooses.
Texas is the second-largest U.S. state in both area and population, and the largest state in the contiguous 48 states in area.
Texas' state capitol building is taller than the U.S. capitol building.
Texas has almost every geographical area within it's borders - swamp (southeast); forest (east); coast (southeast); hills, rivers, lakes (everywhere); plains (north); desert (west); and mountains (the Rockies end in the Davis mountains outside El Paso.
I could go on but I think you get the idea.
