Have you ever stayed at the T bar M resort in New braunfels Texas? How did u like it and/or new braunfels? |
Travel Info We have reservations for the T bar M resort in new braunfels tx this weekend and I wanted to see if anyone else had stayed there. also, what fun things are there to do in new braunfels for the whole family besides schlliterbahn? Travel Tips come back in october for Wurstfest, the hilarious german drinking and eating and lederhosen dancing festival, the comal river is the best, especially the rapids area, where i get out and walk back up to the beginning of about 5 times when i go Source(s): lots of fun last year Other Travel Tips Schliterbahn is not the most fun thing to do there. There is the Comal River, a lazy river that starts and ends in town, spring fed and cold. It winds around to Prince Solm's Tube Shoot, fun, but watch the children. There is the Guadalupe River, which can be rough, but the Horse Bend is the best part of the river when you have children. There is Canyon Lake, too, for fishing and boating and skiing. And the spring fed pool at Landa Park is excellent fun! http://www.river-fun.com/ http://www.newbraunfels.com/ http://www.nbcham.org/visitor/index.asp... Both rivers can be lots of fun. Greene, has "the oldest dancehall" that always has good music and is family friendly. (it also has lots of neat shops and good good in that area) Landa Park is full of fun thing for the kids to do and for parents to enjoy. Take advantage of the German heritage while you are there too and be sure and try out some of the German restaurants. Visited grandparents every summer in New Braunfels I saw that one poster referred to Gruene Hall as family friendly. While I would agree, others may not. All of the other parts of Gruene, especially the General Store, would be considered by most (if not all) to be super kid friendly. Toobing is a definite on the to do list, but be prepared for a crowd. If you choose the Guadalupe, go to Rockin' R to get toobs and settle in for a VERY long float. The Comal is shorter and that's probably better for a family. My favorite restaurant in New Braunfels is the Gruene Onion Grill on Common Street (near Gruene and also on the same road as Schlitterbahn). Not overly expensive, but it's one of the best dining places in New Braunfels, I think. |
