Travel Info What are the best places to visit in austin ? Travel Tips How much time do you have? Are you KIDDING?!!!! Austin, Texas has the MOST places to visit of any other city in the UNION.... Austin City Limits is only one> I made a BOX of files (before I had a computer), with ideas of places to visit...and the AUSTIN, TX file was the MOST FULL... OMG! That city is just JAMMED full of places. I'm moving now, or I'd go look it up...but go to Google, or Ask Jeeves, or ANY other search engine...and you'll get a file folder FULL of as much---or MORE than I have. HAVE FUN! you lucky DAWG...I hope you go! Others Stubbs BBQ.....ToyJoy....Anywhere on Congress st. its such a fun city...Anywhere near the university is a good hip spot. One of the best places is the Capitol building. They have a tour and it is absolutely beautiful at night. I would also suggest the University of Texas. University of Texas at Austin. There you'll be able to understand what's the city about. For the night...(depending your age and enthusiasm) you should try 6th Street, there you'll find very nice places to have a fun as such as bar, club, restaurants..... But, don't forget to go to Texas Union and to watch a movie about Texas History. If you like art...you must like Blanton Museum...... But...If you like shopping..please, drive more 30 minutes and stop by Outlet Center, there you'll find very nice stores for great prices (specially in holidays times...). Enjoy....... Raquel Ester's follies on 6th street is a must! If you enjoy laughing, you'll get plenty of it there. You can also check out www.austin360.com to find out what events (etc) are going on. have fun! |
