Hepatitis C from bottles of tattoo ink? |
Travel Info I really want to get permanent makeup tattoo. But, I am concerned of catching hepatitis C from the bottles in which they store the ink. What are the chances of catching hepatitis C from the bottles of ink? Am I being overly concerned? Travel Tips The ink in little plastic containers are disposable. They have to use new needles, etc and clean up after each person they tattoo. So it is safe. If you are concerned, go to the shop and talk to an artist there. They should be willing to show you what they do, etc. n Others I can answer this .... I am a nurse and I tat'. iT IS absolutely POSSIBLE contract Hep C from body ink!!! However, the virus must be present to actually be exposed and contract virus. #1 - a tatoo artist would have to dump contaminated ink BACK into the bottle if ink #2 - reuse needles , ink or other equipment after contaminted #3 - no sterile procedures and if artist had virus ,....he/she could knick skin and bleed......if positive can pass to you #4 - the artist doesn't use autoclave ( sterilizin device) after use of equipment( BIG NO-NO) In other words this does NOT mutate on own ,...it must have an original host!!! aLOT OF PEOPLE ARE SCARED OF THIS TRANSMISSION...............FOR GOOD REASON!! THE VIRUS CAN -NOT ONLY SUCCESSFULLY SURVIVE OUTSIDE THE HOST (BODY) IT CAN LIVE IN OTHER COMPOUNDS OR AREAS. ~*~* JUST BE SMART, ITS YOUR BODY~*~* #1 - ASK TO VIEW STATE CERTIFICATIONS #2 - REQUEST TI VIEW THEIR PROTOCOL OF SETTING UP ( is it clean/sterile) #3 - BE INQUISITIVE: ASK QUESTIONS..............how long have they been"slInging ink"--- Did they take a class to educate them on transmission and risk associated with the absence of good hygine,.....etc NEVER GO TO SOMEONE YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT...............NEVER!!!!! GOOD LUCK MEDICAL TAT. ARTIST 100% possible |
