What's the minimum/best rent range in Austin, TX?

Travel Info
'Nuff said, I think.

Travel Tips
Much cheaper to live with a roommate. A one-bedroom or efficiency is going to run no less than $600, even in a crappy neighborhood, but you can find lots of 2-bedrooms for $650-$900, in lots of locations, so you end up in a nicer neighborhood and paying less if you split the bills.

Two sites to help you start looking:

http://austin.craigslist.org

Also, there are several apartment/house locator services that are really helpful. I've used Habitat Hunters and Avignon Realty and got exactly what I was looking for. Their services are free to the client; the landlord pays them if you decide to rent a place they showed you.

Others
$ 600 to $ 1,200 per month.
