Travel Info Where is a decent place to stay in Austin, TX for a few days? Moderately price.? Travel Tips Homestead suites, they have a kitchenette and you can cook your own food in the room. http://www.homesteadhotels.com/... You can stay on the campus of The Crossings without attending their seminars: http://www.thecrossingsaustin.com/accomm... http://www.thecrossingsaustin.com/person... Others I truly from my heart reccomend Studio 6 Extended Stay in Austin. It is safe--easy to find, it's practically right off the interstate, but it is mixed in with some other very nice stylish businesseses so it does not feel like a truck stop. I like the homey rooms with a kitchen. I believe rates are 50- 61 dollars-and the property is nice with trees, picnic tables, etc. the service was four star, and there are laundry facilities as well, I highly recomend this place. Good Luck! P.S. I 'm from MN and it was my first time in Austin Texas or Texas period. I'm going back to Texas possibly soon and will stay at Studio 6 again. an Austin UT student first recommended this place. If you wish to revue all economical options I invite you to visit the Gulliver's World Travel Data Bank Service listed below: www.cruiselineamerica. travelwize.com Really really inexpensive....there's a hostel on Town Lake. Otherwise, Holiday Inn Express or something similar would be fine. Townlake Holiday Inn is on the River, only a few miles from downtown. It's by the highway so you have easy access to come and go. The hotel's prices average $130.00 a night for single accommodations, but their courtesy coach will take you downtown and even pick you up. The restaurant has excellent & reasonable breakfast menus. I didn't eat lunch or dinner there because Austin is a very interesting city to visit, and one of the cleanest cities I have ever visited. They also have a bar with a happy hour. They have nice seating whether you are alone or with someone else. Also, if you leave your toothbrush at home or anything else all you have to do is go to the front desk and they will give you whatever you need at no cost. |
