Texas has a huge litter problem?

I have been observing the litter problem in Texas..People just dont care about throwing their trash out their car windows...The side highways , streets, and parking lots are always full of trash..I know there are clean up crews, ones from the jails that come along once in a great moon and pick it up, but why do you think there is such a problem like this in the south? Its disgusting and makes me mad about the way people just dont care...I go out once a week and pick trash up along my street..Its usually three bags, mostly beer bottles..drinking and driving, dont get me started on that one...

Sad but true... People no longer have pride or care for the environment or their fellow man. And dont anyone attempt to point it our...for fear of been shot. The Law is not the solution...education is. In America, the most violent country in the civilized world, we are running out of jail room to lock-up harden violent criminals, let alone enforcing "no litter" laws. I am out here in California (which is no different to some degree) and watching Houston Animal Police, I am amazed at how filthy some of the Houston neighborhoods are. (I must admit California is not that bad) ... But you know what...do your part by not littering and the rest will take care of itself. VERY GOOD QUESTION ON YOUR PART!!!!!!!! Thank you.

boy i wish i knew. I saw a sign just yesterday on a side street in pearland. It said keep pearland clean and it was surrounded by trash. Sad but true. People throw their beers away in our yard too. we live on a corner so its pretty obvious the people trashing our yard live on our street. i think it must be high school kids who just don't care.
True. There's always trash finding its way into our front yard. I wish whoever put it there would come pick it up....but I know that's not going to happen. It's like that on the streets, roads, and highways, too. What ever happened to "Don't *mess* with Texas"
Honey thats everywhere you go, I'm in Mississippi but am from Texas and these people here are still riding around with their kids in their laps for christ sake! There are stupid people everywhere you go!!!
