I am an international graduate student who is joining UT austin.. So i am looking for recommendations and tips for best places for accomodation

Austin is a wonderful place to live. If you are going to be going to UT you'll probably want something around campus. I would probably recommend West Campus, as it is a nice area, with tons of stuff to do, and not too expensive.
Others
since we have the capital metro system you dont have to live up against the campus and i would recommend staying a little north. there are some great apartments with low crime rates on like WEST rundberg and things if you go to forrent.com they can help you look for apartments and roommates and sometimes they even get you discounts.
