Travel Info I am going on vacation in Austin Texas are there any good casinos there?? Travel Tips Actually, I don't think there is any type of gambling like that in Texas. That's why there are so many buses to the casinos in Louisiana. You can take a bus there for like $15 and then when you get there they give you like $10 in tokens. I mean, even those little slot-machine looking things in gas stations are illegal here, unless they print out vouchers for store merchandise. The only legal gambling in Texas is the state lotto including their scratch-offs, and Bingo. Others I used to live in Austin until about four months ago. There aren't actually too many good casinos, but there is ALOT of really good music, and it's easy to find live. So finding entertainment is easy, if you're willing to look to other fields. SORRY NO CASINOS DOWN THERE ONLY IN OKLAHOMA AND LOUSIANA I LIVE IN DALLAS BEEN THERE There aren't casinos in Austin, but there is a gambling boat that runs out of Port Aransas, TX (~4 hours south of Austin, near Corpus Christi). It's called the Texas Treasure. I don't think there are any casinos in Austin. If there are, it would be news to me. There are no casinos in Austin. There is only one in the state of texas and it is down south I believe the valley area. Sorry, but there are a lot of other great things to do here. You can go to traveltex. org. and request a travel guide. I think that you can also get a travel guide from the city for just Austin, I am not sure what the website is. Just google Austin and look.
