Travel Info What can you do in Austin on rainy Monday? Travel Tips First it has to rain on a Monday - not all that common. If you mean today and it is raining you could: shop, dance, read, pray, watch t.v., go downtown to 6th street, hang out at the mall, go to a great restaurant, visit a good bookstore, go get a tattoo!, look through the Chronicle for events - 1,000's of things to do - , visit the piano bar at the Driskoll, go to a jazz club, country bar, rock club, hip hop club, check the Chronicle or the city listings for classical music events, see a show - bound to be some live ones in town, go to the movies, go to church,barbeque (with an umbrella). Sit on your patio, deck, front porch, inside with the window up or sit in your car and listen to the rain. Play music at home and relax, order a pizza, have a glass of wine, fruit smoothie or something delicious (depending upon age and whatever - have sex), USE YOUR IMAGINATION. Tons of free things to do - cheap things to do and wonderfully expensive things to do on any given day in Austin - rain or shine. I am not there now - hope to be there in a few months. Wish I was there now. Enjoy. |
