I have to go to Austin for a business trip. What do business women there wear? Pant suits or suits with skirts? What is the protocol? Thanks for your help!

It will depend on your industry and the formality of the meeting, of course, but generally speaking, Austin is a couple of notches more casual than most major cities. We can do khakis-and-a-polo at my company, and the same thing goes for the places where most of my friends work, too. I can't think of a restaurant in town you couldn't wear jeans to. I think either a pantsuit or a suit with a skirt would be fine- if you feel overdressed when you get there, you can always ditch the jacket for a more casual look.
