What do you need for a driving learner's permit in TEXAS? |
Travel Info I've heard different things, I've heard you just need to pass a written exam, and vision test, but I've also heard you have to have 6 hours of driver's ed... Anyone know?? Travel Tips When can my son or daughter receive an instruction permit license? A student is not permitted to apply for an instruction permit until he or she is at least 15 years of age and has completed at least Module One (minimum of six instructional hours) of a driver education classroom program. Check it out and good luck! www.driveredinaboxonline.com You If you are 21 or above,you need your Social security card,Student ID,Texas ID or green card ,if you are immigrant. follow this procedure i followed Go to your nearest driver's license office tell the person behind the counter at the reception that you are in for a learner's permit. You will be given a receipt with a code on it and a form to fill out. Sit down and wait until your number comes on the screen and the person(usually it is numbered 1,2,3,4).So your number will appear on the screen with either 1,2,3 or 4 .If you get confuse ask for assistance. Your fingerprints will be taken and then you will be directed into the testing room. The test is the computer and you just follow instructions and use your finger to touch the answers on the screen.When you are done,your final score will appear. Then you will know if you passed or not. If you pass,you will be given the learner's permit but if you don't you have some minimum date to retake.
