Go to the driver's licensing department on South congress drive.If you live at South Austin,drive on the South Congress Ln, after crossing the Stassney Lane intersection in South congress route, drive for about 5-10mins,there is a carwash bay near a building called Bel Air,the driver's licensing department building is side by side with Bel Air building. Lots of cars are parked in front of driver's licensing department bldg everyday and there's an auto sale directly opposite. Walk in and tell the lady at the counter your problem. Tell them you want to get Texas license plate to replace the Mexico plate. if you are asked to take driving test on computer,you can get a copy of the instruction booklet ,go home and prepare,come back next time to take the exam. you will have to get 70 to pass.you will pay only $5. in summary this is what you will do.
