Hmmmmm, imagine the question: "I'm travelling to the USA - what should I see?". Exactly - depends on where you are, how much time you have and where you're interested in. Avoid trying to see everything, concentrate on one area/state. Surely a good place to fly into (once again, depending on where YOU are starting from) is Munich. Stay in the south and venture a trip to Tuscany/Florence (Italy) travelling through Austria - Austria is very affordable in the summer and Tuscany is truly beautiful. Buy a good travel guide and do a rough plan. Only reserve rooms for arrival and departure days and avoid (if possible) the larger cities for hotel rooms. Train travel is easy and smart.
