Anyone from/has been to Stuttgart, Germany? |
Travel Info Please, I need help. I read so much about it online but due to shortage of time, I only have 1 day to spend in the city. My hotel (most probably Hotel Mack) is near to the city centre, and I don't think I will be able to go far. Could you help me plan my travel initiary? I wish to include certain things in my trip, maybe a visit to the museum of natural history, for a few hours, then a visit to the shopping market I heard near to the train station, then at 4pm, there's a tour in porsche museum, then at night, walk in the park. Or is there something else I might include or should not miss out? I really do want to try my best to enjoy Stuttgart the best that I can in the short time I have Thank you for your help and a belated Happy New Year! Travel Tips There are a whole bunch of Museums and such right in the city center, as well as the royal residence, and all the shopping you will want to do. But it looks like you have a pretty full schedule already. If you want to make a little further excursion there is Solitude Palace a bit to the north and the Ludwigsburg Palace (one of the best Baroque palaces in Germany), and you can also get tours of the Daimler-Chrysler factory. And for all that Stuttgart is still quite provincial, and has a back-country kind of charm. But don't drink the Trollinger - a pretty bad local red wine. Happy New Year as well. |
