Paradise Island vs. Nassau?

My boyfriend & I are planning a trip to the Bahamas for next year, heard that Atlantis is FANTASTIC but one small problem, might be a lil' on the expensive side for us, but we DEFINITELY want to go to the Bahamas so now we're lost on which place in Bahamas is the best, can you help us out on this one???? Thanks ~ ahead of time!!!

Paradise Island: Expensive, with lots of fun stuff to do!
Nassau: Not As Expensive, less fun things to do...

I would actually reccomend Grand Bahama Island. they have the great wyndham viva allinclusive thats very affordable. that place is awesome

Well, the only two islands in the Bahamas that I've been to are Paradise Island and New Providence (the island that Nassau is on). Between the two, I liked New Providence better, but that may be just because our hotel on Paradise Island was kind of crappy.

Good luck. You can always stay at one and drive/taxi/bus to the other as they are connected by a bridge if that helps. I thought cable beach on New Providence was nice, the sand had a bit of pink tint to it, I thought that was kind of cool.
More action for me on Paradise Island, where I stayed twice (at the Britannia Towers, before it was made over into the Atlantis). Have gone over the bridge into Nassau--to have a look around and look for something cheaper to eat, but Paradise Isle is quite enough if you will only be there briefly.
Are you kidding, Paradise Island hands down. Michael Jackson ownes the penthouse there. it rents for 250,000 a night. Its the place to be if you wanna party like a rock star.
Paradise Island. Stay at the Riu right next door to Atlantis and pay for a day pass to use the Atlantis pools. There is a special right now for the Paradise Island Harbor Resort, near Atlantis and an All Inclusive.
