Travel Info Best family vacation? Travel Tips I have two answers depending on how much you want to spend on a vacation. These would probably be better for families with kids 10 or older. Alaska was wonderful. We took a Tauck tour. We rafted around glaciers, visited with an Ididarod trainer and his dogs, hiked and watched the salmon swim upstream, and saw a black bear swimming with her babies. My second choice is Quebec Canada. My kids learned to speak french fluently. The city is walled in and surrounded by water. At night people perform throughout the city in the streets. My son's favorite chocolate crepes. If you go aorund July 4th, they have a huge festival with free concerts and other entertainment. We always stay in an apartment within the "wall", it decorated very european and has a kitchen.
